Anthropic logged a USD42 billion loss last year, while revenue swelled 11x to nearly USD4.6 billion, Reuters, citing Anthropic's prospectus filing, reported. Operating loss crossed USD8 billion, but the company still plans to invest USD518 billion in cloud, computing and infrastructure commitments.

Anthropic pumped USD7.33 billion in computing and infrastructure last year, tripling from 2024 and accounting for more than half of its total operating expenses of USD12.65 billion. The nearly USD42 billion loss last year included an accounting charge of about USD34 billion, reflecting increases in the valuation of financings that could eventually convert into Anthropic shares, rather than cash spent on operating activities.
